In the mid-1980's we had a passion for whitewater, but keeping warm enough in Idaho's frigid spring runoff was a challenge. Unable to find the gear we wanted in the paddling marketplace, we started making our own gear.
Soon fellow paddlers on the Lochsa were asking us to make clothing and gear for them, too. In 1986 Lochsa Connection was launched in the living room of our mountain home. Using an old treadle sewing machine we started building the clothing and gear bags that would become the mainstay of the business.
In 1994 we moved into our new shop and the company was "electrified", but it has remained small so every order can receive personal attention. We hope you'll enjoy your visit to our website.
